All for charity

We Brits are generous types. The UK is the most generous nation among developed countries, according to a new report.

More than three-quarters of Britons give to good causes in a typical month, the highest proportion of any developed nation surveyed.
The only country with a higher proportion of its population donating money than the UK is Burma, where 85 per cent of people give something every month, according to The World Giving Index.

But Britain is far from alone, apparently the whole world became a more generous place last year.
So, with all this pent-up goodwill looking for causes to support, you should have no trouble organising a charity event.
And if you’re looking for a really fun way to raise money, it’s hard to beat a blackjack table and roulette wheel – fun casinos make for the perfect money-raising showstopper.

Charge your guests for some fun money and they can then use this to buy chips. If they lose all their chips they have to go back to buy some more – just like in the real casinos.

All the money taken on the night can straight to your chosen charity. We’ve found organisers of these events are amazed at just how much cash can be raised.

When the drinks are flowing and everyone is there to help a good cause, most won’t be able to resist placing a few bets.

For the few clever sorts who do win more than they stake, you’ll likely find they are happy to donate their winnings to your event – can you imagine walking away from a charity evening in profit…?

Alternatively, price some chips into the cost of the ticket for the evening – that way people won’t feel like they’re spending anything. But as it’s all for charity anyway, you’ll probably find guests are more than willing to part with a little extra cash for a bit of a flutter.

Hiring fun casinos is a great option for just about any party you can think of. Weddings, birthday dos and celebrations of all hues are always improved with a table or two of your favourite casino game.

But there are probably few other types of event that casinos are as suited to as much as charity bashes.
