School PTA Casino Night Case Study
Western Themed PTA Casino Night at Oakley House, Bromley, Kent
Event Overview
On 9th May 2026, Finesse Casinos provided casino entertainment for a lively School PTA fundraiser at Oakley House in Bromley, Kent. The event welcomed around 150 guests for an evening of food, music, fundraising games and Western themed fancy dress.
With a cowboy and Western theme running throughout the night, guests fully embraced the occasion. The atmosphere was buoyant, informal and fun, with plenty happening across the evening, including line dancing, a disco, a selfie mirror and fundraising activities.
The Venue and Layout
The event took place in a large banqueting suite at Oakley House, with the casino tables positioned at one end of the room. The disco was located within the same suite, while the bar was positioned at the opposite end, helping create a good natural flow for guests moving around the space.
The casino did not need to dominate the room, as there were several other entertainment elements taking place. Instead, the four tables added a strong interactive feature to one end of the suite and complemented the wider evening entertainment.
The Casino Setup
For this PTA fundraiser, Finesse Casinos supplied a four-table casino setup consisting of:
- 2 Blackjack tables
- 2 Roulette tables
The casino ran from 8:00pm until 11:00pm, with all four tables becoming busy once opened. Guests moved freely between the blackjack and roulette tables, creating good table rotation and a lively atmosphere throughout the casino area.
A Fun Fundraising Format
The casino was run as a competition, helping add excitement and purpose to the gameplay. One of the PTA committee members, Shannon, introduced the casino at the start of the session, setting the tone and encouraging guests to get involved.
There were three prizes awarded on the night, including a hotel night stay for the overall winner, a bottle of champagne for second place and a gift voucher for third place.
The eventual winner was Mark Way, fittingly known on the night as “The Sheriff”, who finished with over $4,500 in fun money.
Guest Experience and Atmosphere
The casino tables were well received from the moment they opened. Guests were eager to play, and the tables remained busy throughout the evening without the need for breaks.
There was a good mixture of experienced players and guests trying casino games for the first time, which helped create a friendly and inclusive feel. Our croupiers kept the games approachable, making it easy for new players to join in while still keeping the pace lively for those already familiar with blackjack and roulette.
The Western fancy dress theme also added a strong sense of fun. With guests embracing the cowboy styling, line dancing taking place early in the evening, and the disco continuing afterwards until midnight, the casino fitted naturally into a broader night of entertainment rather than feeling like a standalone attraction.
Entertainment Across the Evening
The casino formed part of a much wider fundraising event. Guests enjoyed a three-course meal as part of their ticket, with free wine provided on the tables and a pay bar available afterwards.
Line dancing lessons ran from 8:00pm to 8:45pm, before the disco took over for the rest of the night. Alongside this, there were fundraising games, externally supplied theming and a selfie mirror, all helping to create a busy and engaging evening.
The Finesse Casinos Team
The event was delivered by Andy, Freddie, Sonja and Joy, who kept the casino running smoothly throughout the three-hour session. Once the tables opened, there were no breaks, allowing guests to enjoy continuous gameplay across the evening.
For a busy PTA fundraiser with 150 guests, this helped maintain momentum and ensured the casino remained easy for guests to access whenever they wanted to play.
Client Feedback and Fundraising Impact
The client was very happy with how the casino contributed to the evening, particularly as donations helped cover the cost of the casino entertainment. This meant the PTA effectively gained a strong entertainment feature while still supporting the fundraising goals of the night.
Guest feedback was also positive, with those who played clearly enjoying the experience. The casino helped add another interactive element to the evening and supported the overall atmosphere of fun, participation and fundraising.
Following the event, Finesse Casinos had already received a referral from one of the guests who attended, and discussions were also taking place about a possible return booking next year, depending on the event theme.
Final Thoughts
This Western themed PTA fundraiser at Oakley House was a great example of how casino entertainment can work as part of a larger event. The casino was not the sole attraction, but it added energy, interaction and a clear focal point for guests who wanted to get involved.
With four busy tables, a lively themed crowd, strong guest engagement and a positive fundraising outcome, the evening showed how blackjack and roulette can add real value to a school PTA event, charity night or themed fundraiser.
For schools, PTAs and charities planning a fundraising evening, Finesse Casinos can provide professional casino tables, friendly croupiers and flexible entertainment packages designed to fit naturally within the wider event.
